WHO ARE WE?
Since starting in 2006 in Grand Island, Nebraska, we have become one of the fastest growing third-party logistics companies in the nation. We’ve done that by accomplishing the impossible with attention to detail and unparalleled customer service. As a middleman between carriers and companies, we work collaboratively with smaller carriers throughout the US in order to perfectly schedule and align freight deliveries for our customers. We also utilize a hands-on training program in a friendly work environment, where new graduates and young professionals can start their careers.
WHO DO WE HELP?
Are you a shipper who is facing weather-related issues? Struggling to cover a difficult lane? Had a carrier fall off last minute? Seasonal volume surges? Carriers go out of business? Need extra capacity during the holiday season? Carriers falling off for higher paying produce loads? Can’t find competitive rates or companies that will hold their rates year-round, even when produce hits?
Our customers are all of the above, especially those who struggle with capacity issues. They are shippers who make, manufacture, and produce products in industries such as consumer goods, energy and infrastructure, food, beverage, industrial goods, paper, packaging, pharmaceuticals, health care, and retail. We work with them to help get their products shipped from point A to point B in a fast and efficient manner. We help move their products by using carriers or asset-based companies. Asset-based companies are the companies who employ drivers and own semi- trucks to transport our customers’ commodities. We then match a carrier with the correct equipment to a customer’s load that needs transported. Once a load is in transit, we handle all the ins and outs; that means negotiating rates, scheduling appointments for pick-up and delivery, handling rate and load confirmation sheets, and billing.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We provide supply chain solutions for shippers who are struggling to find capacity on a lane. We like the hard-to-cover, tight transit times, high cargo value, and nearly impossible loads to cover. We provide services that are efficient, competitive, and cost-effective with efficient and legal transit times. We believe shippers shouldn’t have to worry about their freight after it leaves their facility – that’s our job. We provide long-term contractual rates and spot quotes on an as-needed basis. And when we provide a freight shipping quote on a load, we cover it and guarantee delivery on the load without pushing it out or changing the rate quoted. We’ll cover any load, any time, any where – even at a cost to us.
We have a carrier database composed of 15,000 reliable carrier companies who help us ship less-than-truckload, full truckloads, and intermodal loads across the 48 contiguous states and parts of Canada. Within those carrier companies, we have access to over 225,000 pieces of equipment including dry vans, reefers or temperature-controlled trailers, flatbeds, step-decks, removable goosenecks (RGNs), power-only, drop-trailers, and rail containers.
WHAT PROBLEMS DO WE SOLVE?
At GIX, we understand our customers face numerous obstacles when shipping their products. Most commonly our customers face problems centering around capacity issues. In the transportation industry, capacity is defined as the number of semi-trucks in an area or lack thereof. Capacity issues can be a result of the many challenges and restrictions imposed on carriers and shippers in the United States.

No matter what issues are facing a shipper, we can help and we’ll even do it at a competitive rate that we’ll hold year-round regardless of what produce is doing to rates. Maybe it’s an alcohol, hazmat, or over-dimensional load that requires carriers to have certain permits to pick-up and deliver their freight. Perhaps you need to ship an over-dimensional I-beam transnational? No worries, we’ve done it before and we’ve got a truck that can do it again. Have a multiple stop ice cream load that needs to ship in the middle of July? That’s just routine for us. We have a dedicated team of sales representatives and freight managers who are ready to help with any of these issues.
Let’s just say, we like to put our dedicated freight managers to the test every day.
